Line Maintenance Manager

Position of work: Eastern Airways HQ - Humberside Airport (in person)

Hours: Full time, permanent. Monday - Friday, 10 hour shifts. Weekend availability required.

Salary: Up to £65,000 per year

 

The Line Maintenance Manager bears the responsibility of meeting Eastern Airways' line operational maintenance needs while adhering to Part-145 regulations. They are tasked with ensuring that the organisation conducts maintenance activities in strict accordance with Part-145, ensuring timely completion and compliance with relevant requirements, regulations, and approved standards. This ensures that all maintenance activities are released for service safely and in compliance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the availability of all required maintenance data as mandated by Part 145.A.45.
  • Providing technical documents to customers and maintaining the organisation's technical records.
  • Managing and updating a dynamic document reflecting available manpower at each Line station.
  • Identifying and reporting any inaccuracies, omissions, or ambiguities in maintenance data to the authors of such data.
  • Implementing a standardized work card or worksheet system in compliance with 145.A.45(e).
  • Successfully completing and certifying all work specified by contracting operators/customers in accordance with work orders and approved MOE procedures.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to the organisation's maintenance procedures and standards.
  • Contributing to ongoing training by utilizing internal and/or external sources.
  • Properly communicating and detailing any Third-Party Work generated for Line stations in work orders/contracts and ensuring contract/work order requirements are met during inspections.
  • Providing feedback to the Quality System regarding services from contracted organisations and subcontractors.
  • Addressing quality deficiencies within their area of responsibility identified during independent audits.
  • Taking ownership of non-compliance issues raised against Base stations by the organisation's compliance system and the CAA, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions to the satisfaction of the Compliance Manager.
  • Ensuring the implementation of safety policies and addressing human factors issues.
  • Developing a production planning system tailored to the maintenance scope's volume and complexity.
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and materials necessary for planned tasks.
  • Ensuring the availability of an adequate number of skilled personnel to plan, execute, supervise, inspect, and certify the maintenance work.
  • Notifying the Engineering Director of any emerging deficiencies that require attention, especially regarding finances and standards acceptability (officially informing the Technical Compliance Manager of any shortage of 25% of available manhours over a calendar month).
  • Upholding a Just Culture within the approved maintenance organisation.
