CAMO Engineer

CAMO Engineers plays a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness and continued compliance of our aircraft under the purview of the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO). This role involves managing and overseeing all aspects of aircraft maintenance planning, reliability monitoring, and airworthiness compliance. The CAMO Engineer works closely with maintenance providers, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of safety and reliability for the managed aircraft fleet.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning: Develop and maintain aircraft maintenance programmes, including scheduled maintenance tasks, inspections, and component replacements, in compliance with regulatory requirements and manufacturer recommendations.
Reliability Monitoring: Monitor aircraft performance and reliability data to identify trends, anticipate potential maintenance issues, and optimise maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and operational disruptions.
Airworthiness Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, and manufacturer service bulletins, maintaining accurate records of compliance and documentation.
Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel, including troubleshooting complex maintenance issues, interpreting technical documentation, and ensuring the proper implementation of maintenance tasks.
Aircraft Configuration Management: Manage aircraft configuration records, including modifications, repairs, and installations, to ensure accurate documentation of aircraft configuration and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of aircraft maintenance, including maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection reports, and prepare reports for regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders as required.
Audits and Inspections: Conduct internal audits and inspections to verify compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Supplier Management: Coordinate with maintenance providers, suppliers, and vendors to ensure the timely availability of parts, materials, and technical support for maintenance activities, negotiating contracts and service agreements as needed.
Safety Management: Participate in safety management systems (SMS) activities, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety reporting, to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within our organisation.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed of changes to CAA aviation regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to airworthiness management, and ensure that CAMO processes and procedures remain up-to-date and compliant.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in aircraft maintenance, airworthiness management, or related aviation roles.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with CAMO procedures and processes, including maintenance program development and reliability monitoring.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems used for maintenance planning, data analysis, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of CAA regulations.
