We now have the following vacancy based at Humberside Airport: Deputy CAM
Reports to: Continued Airworthiness Manager
Direct Reports: CAMO Engineers
Location: Humberside (Predominantly office based, but some travelling will be required)
Shifts: Weekdays Monday-Friday (some out of hours working required in line with operational requirements).
Salary: £45,000-£55,000+ (depending on experience) plus benefits
Role purpose: Supporting the CAM by leading, managing and supervising the day to day activities of the airlines’ CAMO Team
Role Responsibilities:
- Delegated authority for the oversight of all continuing airworthiness activity of the Eastern Airways fleet as defined CAME) and associated procedures.
- Supporting the CAM in the compliance and application of Part-CAMO requirements.
- To ensure that all appropriate legislative and company procedures are adhered to in order to ensure continuing compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Regular liaison with the AHUK CAM in order to ensure continuing compliance.
- Oversee and manage the ongoing development of multiple Aircraft maintenance Programmes, including review and approval of variations.
- Support the airworthiness data review such as Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins and implementation actions.
- Respond to audit findings related to functional areas as required by the CAM.
- Ensuring that CAMO personnel are suitably qualified, appropriately supported and competent to perform their duties.
- Continuous Review of fleet health and reliability.
- Develop reports as required in support of the fleet on behalf of operators.
- Liaise with TCH, OEM and Part-145 organisations.
- AOG Support including recovery management in line with operational needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
MANDATORY
- Relevant Technical Qualification or equivalent suitable experience.
- Minimum 5 years Civilian Commercial Aviation Experience with Continuing Airworthiness Management Weighting
- ICAO Level 6 English
- Completion of recognised Part-M or Part-CAMO training course.
- UK recognised driving licence
- Completion of higher further education or degree
DESIRED
- Part-66 Licence with comparable types or equivalent experience.
- Similar role previously held
- Meets the requirements of Part-CAMO A.305(c)
- Understanding of Part-AOC and CAT operations.
- Participated/contributed in ACAM and Authority Organisational Reviews.
Skills & Knowledge:
MANDATORY
- Demonstrable technical knowledge and understanding of Part-CAMO regulation.
- Ability to interpret and understand technical data.
- Recognition and application of the regulations.
- Ability to effectively manage workload (both their own and others)
- Satisfy Quality and Compliance requirements.
DESIRED
- Familiar with SMS application and best practices.
- Experience working closely with the NAA.
- Previous personnel management experience.
- Regional airline experience
- Capable of lease reviews
- Previously successfully inducted aircraft to UK registry and fleet.
