Bristol Clifton Suspension BridgeBristol is an exciting city, with intriguing, traditional and occasionally off the wall things to do and see.  The gateway to the south west of England, Bristol provides the perfect base to explore the area, with Bath just 15 minutes away by train, the city is surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Bristol is the perfect base to explore the West Country. There are lots of attractions and places to visit, all easily accessible by car or public transport.

With the city, coast and countryside all within easy reach, Bristol is a great place to enjoy the summer and there are some spectacular events taking place.

Visitor Attractions:

The British Empire and Commonwealth Museum -  Bringing to life more than 500 years of history using state of the art presentation techniques.

Bristol Hippodrome
-  One of the country’s top provincial theatres which continues to stage major West End and Broadway productions.

Bristol Zoo Gardens -  From the smallest and rarest tortoise in the world, to the largest ape.  With over 400 exotic animal species to explore, enjoy a whole day filled with excitement and discovery.

At-Bristol -  A unique leisure destination bringing science and nature to life on Bristol’s historic harbour side.  It comprises of three new, world-class attractions:  Explore, Wildwalk and the IMAX Theatre.

Clifton Suspension Bridge
-  The world famous bridge was designed by the great Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, although he never lived to see his creation finished. Its spectacular setting on the cliffs of the Avon Gorge have made it the symbol of Bristol, drawing thousands of visitors a year just to stroll across for views of the gorge and elegant Clifton.
