Destination Guide - London Stansted |
Stansted Airport is the UK’s capital third largest airport serving a growing 16 million passengers per year to 105 destinations. It is situated on the M11 making it a convenient choice for Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and East Anglia.
Cambridge can be reached by train in thirty minutes. The city which has a worldwide reputation for its University has in more recent years gained international acknowledgement as a centre of excellence for science and technology. With over three and a half million visitors, the city centre has become largely pedestrianised in order to alleviate congestion. Legions of cycling students fill the streets and during term time it is possible to hear the spectacular choir at King’s College.
No visit is complete without attempting to take a punt down the willow lined River Cam whilst enjoying the views of people relaxing and strolling along the famous grass covered banks known as The Backs.
The surrounding cities, towns and farmland make Cambridgeshire an ideal region to explore.
