The announcement will be welcome news for businesses in two of the United Kingdom’s major shipping ports, offering far more flexibility than was previously available while, Eastern Airways Director Graeme Ross believes, the 1 hour 20 minute journey will also open up benefits for the leisure market. “The additional flight opens up more options for those travelling between the cities on business while both are ideal destinations for those visiting the Highlands of Scotland and the home of Cowes respectively while Southampton is of course a key departure point for anyone embarking on a luxury cruise.”

Southampton is a strong base for both business and leisure activities and will prove to be a very popular service. Eastern Airways continuing support for the Airport Business Development Forum is yielding benefit to the airline and the regional economy"
