Eastern Airways
Revised Hand Baggage Policy
January 2008

The UK Department for Transport has now eased cabin baggage restrictions at some UK airports which allows Eastern Airways to revise its cabin baggage policy.

With effect from Monday 07 January, passengers will be allowed to take one item of hand luggage which must be no larger than 55cm x 40cm x 20cm and in addition, at those airports approved by the Department for Transport, passengers may also bring one personal item such as a small handbag, purse or small laptop bag. Personal items are accepted at Eastern Airways’ discretion. Total weight of both items must not exceed 10kg.

The list of airports currently approved by the Department for Transport is detailed on their web page

Passengers should note that the rules governing the carriage of liquids remain unchanged.

Passengers should take into account that not all airports are able to accept more than one item of hand luggage and as a result they should consider this when preparing for a journey as the departure airport for the outward flight may have different restrictions to those for the departure airport for their onward or return legs.

On our Jetstream aircraft and due to restricted storage space only small pieces of cabin baggage which can be stowed under a single seat in front may be taken on board. All other pieces are placed in the aircraft hold upon boarding and returned to you outside the aircraft immediately upon disembarkation.
